Shift Happens: Manifesting the Big Shifts
A paradigm shift is a fundamental change. It is a shift in consciousness, a shift in the understanding and belief of what is possible. It is the changes that subsequently manifest in our lives and in our reality from the shift in consciousness. We see things in a different light and our lives and our reality changes because of it.
We create and recreate ourselves many times throughout our lifetime, for better or for worse. From childhood to adulthood, to not change, to not make these big shifts is tantamount to stagnation and a sort of death. While, by the same token, making these shifts is also a sort of death, but a death that is liken to the Phoenix rising from the ashes. It is renewal. It is Transformation rather than Stagnation.
A Paradigm Shift can also be illustrated by the Shamanic symbolic death and rebirth ritual which speaks to the concept that parts of us need to die in order for us to truly live. This challenges us to leave behind the old baggage; the patterns, beliefs and habits that no longer serve us, that weigh us down and keep us from moving forward and realizing our dreams and our full potential. Although some of us may need some sort of life altering experience to jar us into making a change, embarking on a Paradigm shift doesn’t have to be as dramatic as a symbolic death and rebirth ritual. You don’t have to go out into the wilderness for days, fasting and chanting, waiting for a vision from the Ancestors in order for your life to be different.
I believe a Personal Paradigm Shift begins with loving yourself for who you are, as you are, not who the world wants or expects you to be. Live a life that is authentic to your beliefs and purpose rather than centered around how you’re ‘supposed’ to be living or how you’re ‘supposed’ to be conducting yourself in the way that you’re making a living and making a life. Be true to yourself.
Create the best version of yourself, whatever that means to you. Live your life as a truer version of yourself; the YOU that you know yourself to be underneath all the resistance and outdated belief systems that hold you back. Only you know what’s in your heart and only you can make this determination.
Get very clear on what you want and what you don’t want; what’s working and not working in your reality. Leave behind the aspects that are no longer working, are not working well, or that keep you from living the life of your dreams on your terms. In short, leave behind the aspects that are not in and of your highest good. Make room for the big shifts that lead to the life and lifestyle you want.
Walk out on the other side changed; to a life of your own creation, true to your highest good.
Gandhi once said, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” The Paradigm Shift of Humanity and the World Happens One Person at a Time and it begins with You and with Me.
It begins with each of us and all of us.
